Lovingly converted from the 15th century Palazzo Medici dal Borgo, which is preserved by the Commission of Fine Arts, the hotel is located in the heart of Florence, within sight of Santa Maria Novella Church.
The building has undergone extensive renovation with great care given to even the smallest detail so that, although an airier lighter tone has been introduced, the original charm has been maintained.
The high vaulted ceilings and historic frescoes together with the original flooring, recently brought to light in the main hall and living area, enhance the historic architecture.
A small secluded garden, in which breakfast and drinks are served among tuscan terracotta and lemon trees, creates an inviting and relaxing atmosphere.
An added touch are the evening complimentary lectures on art and history of Florence presented by a professor of the University of Florence.

By train:
Arriving at "S. Maria Novella" central railway station you can easily reach the hotel on foot; exiting from the station on the right side, into "Via S. Caterina da Siena" at the trafic-light turn left into "Via della Scala": you will find us down the street after 200 metres on the left hand side of the street.
Taxis available even for the short distance.
By car (from north exit "Autostrada del Sole" (A1 motorway) at "Firenze Nord")
By car (from south exit "Autostrada del Sole" (A1 motorway) at "Firenze Certosa")
follow directions for city centre then for central railway station "S. Maria Novella"; with station on your left turn right into "Via S. Caterina da Siena", at the end of the street at traffic light turn left into "Via della Scala". You will find us after 200 metres on the left hand side of the street.
